Kota's past has come back to haunt him in the final installment of the first volume of Sioux Falls. Trapped in the spirit world, Kota is faced with the seemingly impossible task of obtaining the feather of the mystical thunderbird in order to walk between worlds and return home. However, the further Kota ventures into the spirit world, the more he learns that his past is every bit as dangerous as the creatures found within.
