This is an oversized hardcover, from a series printed i Germany in 1996 by Splitter Verlag. Very nice, printed on excellent paper and with very "true" colors. These are pretty rare but the price reflects that they are perhaps not for the average collector. Width = 29,5 cm, Heigth = 37 cm, Thick = 1,2 cm. This copy is a # 223 out of a 450 copies limited edition. It has # 47 - 98 of the full Sunday Pages from 1938 (?) plus an article of about 10 pages. The page numbering reflects the # (in sequence) of the full Sunday pages.

In 1995 a German publisher, "Splitter Verlag" in Munich, began a series of deluxe hard cover books reprinting facsimile Sunday pages of Prince Valiant. Each book reproduces a complete year of Hal Foster's epic knights in armour adventure, in their original splendour - all pages are in full color.

These editions are incredibly hard to find because a part of the print run was destroyed - it is easily one of the most sought after collector's item for Prince Valiant fans around the world.
